I went to college for 2 years and realized that i can't spend my life wearing a suit, behind a desk, in an office. That's why i'm a grease monkey and love it.

Computer Information System's major. But I know more about jeeps than I know about computers.... and I know A LOT about computing. Normally I go to the computer classes and just look at jeep stuff the whole time the instructor is talking. I tend to know more than the instructors at my school. So I just sit quietly and look at jeep stuff.

I graduated with a construction management degree 4 year undergrad, one of the best things I ever did in life. I don't wear a tie & get to tell lots of people what to do.

Now that I'm a little older I want to wear a tie so I'm going to law school, if I didn't get that undergrad I wouldn't even have the opportunity to go.

Almost forgot, I went to University of Wisconsin Platteville. A smaller school in the southwest corner of the state.

BS Mechanical Engineering 2002
Colorado School of Mines
Golden, CO
ahem...adjacent to Coors Brewery

Now doing engine lubricant and diesel engine durability testing. Part time head scratchin in the office, part time in the lab getting dirty.

Without the degree, I'd probably be working a hot dog stand (although some days that sounds pretty good, lol).

I rarely post here anymore, but in school for mechanical engineering at a state University here. I graduated college the first time, moved to AZ for a couple years, and hated my job. So I decided to move back to MN, and go back to school for something better....

Nope, didn't go to college... Spent 20 years in the Navy as a photographer, retired 5.5 years ago. I did branch out in training for the electronics so I'm a little more than just a photog. I do have radar experience too and am currently working as an Electronics Tech. with video, RF and microwave.

EVERY now and then, I wish I had gone to college first. But then, I think of the places I've been and things I've seen and don't regret a minute.

I just noticed that you live on the MN north shore. Are you going to UMD? I'm just curious because I'm going there next year for mechanical engineering.

LOL!!! Funny for an old man...LOL j/k... Not old just wise  ... I went to North Greenville College for 1 year for International Business to be a corporate attorney(Like the ENRON guys WERE), or trial lawyer wasn't sure at the time. Then I decided I couldn't afford $14,000 a year anymore so I went to Tech. for criminal justice. Dropped that to sell Dodges and Fords, then I applied and passed to be a SC state trooper, meanwhile I started working as a flooring installer/sub contrator which I am still doing, and decided to not pursue the state trooper thing. Also worked for one family's restaurants for 6 years while all of this was goin on up until last January. I've kinda been all over the place.
