Thanks for the tips in my other thread. The pb blaster i used worked on the nuts and the fan clutch came off easily. I also decided to replace the belt at this time. My 4.0 does not have an automatic adjuster. The haynes manual says that it will either have an automatic tension adjuster, or the power steering pump will actually pivot and provide adjusting action. Mine has neither of these it seems. I have the tow package which as i understand comes with a HD power steering pump, that seems to be different from the one in the illustration and solidly mounted. i'll have pics up in a minute, but any suggesstions would be helpful.

I just muscled the new belt on there.... still havent figured out the adjusting scheme though. The tension is fine though, and everything works.

If I remember right, the adjuster has a bolt that you turn to releve tension. Since you've got in in there already it's too late, but it's worth a look for next time.

Yup it has a screw type tensioner. Loosen the nut holding the tensioning pulley and then the tension screw will move freely. The tensioner pulley is the one hiding below the power steering pulley and the tensioner screw bolt is pointing up towards the water temp sensor.
Short socket to get the pulley loose and at least a 6 inch or mopre extension to turn the screw tensioner. At least DC made both the same size head, 15 mm if I remember correctly.
