I am looking at doing the longarm kit to get rid of my DW. What are the prices and who makes them. I have a '93 w/4.5"lift. Depending on $$$ I may try one myself. Thanks guys

to get rid of your DW.. interesting...

I'm almost drunk and need to pack for GSE, anyone else wanna take this one? ;)

FYI: my long arms were 1500 from clayton.

There are many things that can equate to DW. I know plenty of guys running 4.5 kits and a BB with no problems what so-ever {except the double grip on the wheel to make it go straight at highway speeds.}

Clayton kit: $1500 plus shipping
Figure on another grand for all the extras involved. Exhuast mods, t-case mods adjustable t-bars, springs, shocks, etc. And thats if your doing it yourself.

Well first I have heard from some others that Longarm kits took care of thiers. I already have the 4.5" on with adjust F/R track bars. I have tightned everything several times, alignment twice and checked all the bushings this is the last and only thing I can think of. I also did the stillen brake upgrade to rule out warped rotors.

I have also heard fols saying that a steering stabilizer helped a lot.

How did you get to 4.5" is it a kit or Franken-lift?? If you aren't going to lift it more, I think the longarms are a waste. I have the RE4.5 kit on my ZJ, and I've never had a hint of DW (even after driving about 100 miles or so before any alignment) Maybe you should check into new control arms of the short variety.

Thanks for the help guys. I guess I will crawl back under it again and give another once over. I was thinking of going with a 1" spacer on top of the 4.5" springs is why I was looking into the longarms. Also for better handling pulling my boat. And the lift is not a full kit it was put together from different parts with what I thought was a better selection.

lemme tell you, even with my one inch spacer on top of my 4.5 coils, i get ALOT of wander and a REAL clunky ride. I kinda learned to deal with it, but i plan on selling my arms sometime this summer and getting the long arm.
