I have a 98 Grand Limited 5.2L with a K&N charger system and a Borla muffler, but I am looking for something that sounds alot meaner. I don't want to go and spend the money on something I have never heard.

I just put on a Flowmaster 50 series on my moms ZJ. It was mine, so I just cut her muffler off and welded it on. I absolutely love it! It's not too loud, but man when you get on it, you know it's there.

In fact I got pulled over last night right when the fireworks show started because I gunned it around a car that almost hit me. Didn't get a ticket because I didn't do anything wrong, but the cop was like, man I thought you were flying, this Jeep is so loud! And I was like, yeah, and it's my moms!!

I'm looking at upgrading my exhaust system, does ther flowmaster 40 get even louder?

hell ya the flow 40 is louder. With a 3" exhaust pipe (from the cat and back) it's not emissions legal. (Too loud) But when you get on the jeep with a 3"/Flow 50, it's really bad a$$.

anyone got any sound clips of a 30 series??? I checked the flowmaster website and it sounds pretty cool on a 69 el camino (or was it camaro, can't remember) with the 350. I'm getting one this weekend b/c my delta-flow 40 got messed up last weekend.

I have the Dynomax cat back Ultra flow on my 98 Durango and it sounds great. Nice rumble without the cherry bomb cheap sound. Been 2 years and it is still shiny (stainless steel). I live in Maine where we salt the roads. Pipes are fairly rusty.

yes the clip of the 50 is a fully kolak-ized exhaust.. 3" cs cat.

Flowmaster 40 series definitely gives you that typical flowmaster rumble... I've also got borla headers (which actually made it QUIETER until i added the carsound cat)... a big intake can make it louder too... I've got an exhaust leak right now (friggin Borla -- you'd think they'd make better-fitting headers)... but when it's fixed I'll get a sould byte for ya... I don't usually get to hear my car from the outside (duh) but I let a friend drive it the other night... Even with the exhaust leak I was like "Wholy G**AMN SH**BALLS! that's crazy-loud"... all of my uneducated friends say "wow, sounds like a mustang"... as the valley girls would say, "as if!" ...When I mash the throttle around school (which is mostly populated by rice rockets --- it's UCSD, c'mon) people are always looking for ANOTHER car... Heh, I love it. Ok, I am in love with the way my Jeep sounds... But.. but.. ok that's all :crazy
